So here we are on a Friday afternoon at 3:40 p.m. Check-ins will start streaming through the door within twenty minutes, and I haven’t even had a chance to coordinate with Stephanie about our own social calendar for the weekend–for those few hours we aren’t happily working with guests, what to do? What to do? The options are always so many.
Steph doesn’t even know it yet, I don’t think, but we have tickets to see Michael Cavanaugh and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra performing Elton John favorites. Ought to be a great show. Not that the Union and many other venues aren’t featuring great music also. Will we have the energy to go out after? Doubtful. Especially since we both had a very busy week.
How about Saturday? Saturday poses a bigger choice. See our Kitchen/House manager play percussion in our favorite, amazingly talented classic rock band at Shakespeare’s Pub at 9:00 p.m.? Or … Steph’s new favorite rock/fusion/crazy-band-you-can’t-define: Rusty’s Big Ass Band at the Union.
Life is full of tough choices. If you’re around downtown, look us up! Cheers and happy weekend in beautiful downtown Kalamazoo!
